Southwell Minster 2
	The west door itself is a magnificent piece of 12^th century woodwork, with hinges and ornamental scrollwork of contemporary iron. The Norman nave, built in the first decades of the 12^th century, is austere.With its plain drum pillars and round arches, the wide round arches of the triforium above, and the smaller arches of the clerestory, the arcades are somehow reminiscent of a great Roman aqueduct.
Lo stesso portone ovest è un magnifico lavoro di falegnameria del 12° secolo, con cardini e lavori ornamentali di ferro dello stesso periodo. La navata normanna, costruita nei primi decenni del 12° secolo, è austera. Con i suoi semplici pilastri cilindrici e archi tondeggianti, gli ampi archi rotondi del triforio sopra, e gli archi più piccoli della lanterna, le arcate in qualche modo rievocano un grande acquedotto romano.
