| The proper title is the Cathedral Church of Christ in Oxford. It has two claims to fame - it is the smallest of all English cathedrals, and it is unique because it is also the college chapel of Christ Church. Every period of English medieval Gothic is represented here; the steeple is thought to be the first to be build in this country. It has stood for more then a thousand years. It is associated with a Princess- Frideswide or Fritheswith - who became a saint and patroness of both the city and university. | Il suo vero nome è "Cathedral Church of Christ in Oxford" è unica per due ragioni - è la cattedrale più piccola d'Inghilterra ed è allo stesso tempo la cappella del collegio del Christ Church.
