The Mansion House, in Dawson Street, is a fine building in Queen Anne style that has been the residence of Dublin's Lord Mayors since 1715. Many important events in Ireland's history took place here, including the adoption of the declaration of independence in 1919 and the signing of the truce that ended Anglo-Irish hostilities in 1921. | ||||
